Ever since I was a little girl I've had very thick hair. Now that I'm a little older it is easier to appreciate it, but back then it was nothing but a nuisance to me. I just wanted it to get out of the way. However, when styling it now, it does come in handy. When looking at pictures of me when I was about two years old, you'd be baffled by the way my hair has changed.
It went from a curly mess, to the straight hair it is now. A couple of years ago I had very long hair, now this was just a nuisance and I decided to trade my long hair for a shorter style. I've had short hair for a couple of years now and I'm very happy with it. It's easy to take care of and styling is done in a very short time.
I wash my hair about two times a week. Now, this isn't very often, I know. But it has helped my hair to remain very healthy and believe it or not, it will grow faster. This is because you're now giving your hair time to build up some of its essential oils. Your hair needs these oils to remain healthy, to grow fast and to repair itself when damaged. Because I've done this quite a while now, my hair won't get greasy in the meanwhile. So you can say I've trained my hair not to get greasy. If you're a person who washes her hair everyday, try to cut it back, and see if you get any results. Your hair will get greasy fast in the beginning, as it's used to being washed everyday. But this will go away overtime.
Now, on to my own hair routine. What products do I use and in what order? Sit back and find out.
I use a total of 5 products every time I wash my hair. At first I got a little tired of this, but I've gotten used to it now.

10 minutes before I hop in the shower I rub in the Yves Rocher Repair oil, which I mentioned earlier in my haul, in my hair. I focus mainly on the ends of my hair, as this is the oldest and most damaged part of your hair.
After having let that set in my hair, I get in the shower. I am used to using two shampoos. One being Head & Shoulder, against dandruff I used to have. I love using this shampoo, as it gives a fresh feeling and it really helped me to get rid of the dandruff.
Next up is my second shampoo, Syoss Repair. I've used this shampoo for quite a while now and I love how soft it makes my hair. My hair doesn't get tangled, and its smell is just amazing. I also love how I just need to use a very small amount, which is ideal with the amount of hair I have.
After the shower I brush my hair gently, and then use oils to hydrate my hair. On damp hair, I use almond oil, nothing added to it, just pure almond oil. I put around 6 drops in the palms of my hand, rub it between my hand and then distribute it all over my hair. Again, focussing on the ends. This oil helps your hair to repair itself and it also encourages growth.
Last, but not least, I use a second oil. This is a kind of oil my mom uses, and I just kind of took it over. It is a moisturizing shine serum and smells really good. The oil makes my hair very soft and shiny. I only use around 2-3 drops as I don't want all of my hair to get greasy.
After having used my oils, I usually just air dry my hair. When it's dry it feels very soft and the ends do not feel dry at all. Now I either style my hair with a straightener, or I just leave it as it is.
